Welcome to Cobbler's Cottage - a traditional country cottage situated in rural North Norfolk

This is a fully equipped 2 bedroom self-catering holiday cottage with two bathrooms which sleeps up to 4. The cottage is a traditional 18th century Norfolk end terrace constructed of brick and flint, set in a beautiful location on the edge of the village of Little Snoring, overlooking the Saxon village church with countryside views.

Downstairs

The cottage is entered by the side entrance, which leads to a garden room with dinning table and French doors open to an enclosed garden area with garden furniture and barbecue.

The beam vaulted kitchen has a gas hob with electric oven, fridge/ freezer, microwave and washing machine.

This leads to a comfortable sitting room, with a wood burner and oak flooring. There is a TV with FreeView, video DVD player, and Wi Fi is available.

From the living room, you continue to a double bedroom with fitted wardrobes and bedside tables. Next to the bedroom is a shower room, with power shower, basin, bidet and toilet.

Upstairs

Stairs from the sitting room lead to the master bedroom with exposed beams, containing double bed, bedside tables, built in wardrobes and chest of drawers.

The main bathroom leading off the stairs is light and spacious, with bath, toilet, and basin. This door height is lower.

Both of these rooms have velux windows fitted in the roof.

Outside

There is a sheltered, enclosed garden to the rear with garden furniture and barbecue. To the side of the house there is a gravel driveway, with off-road parking for two cars and a bicycle store.

Places to see

Mentioned in the Domesday book, Little Snoring is situated in a quiet rural area with a rare Saxon round tower church. It is the perfect base to explore the many architectural delights in the area, including stately homes, magnificent churches and historical ruins.

From the cottage, you can explore the beauty of the North Norfolk Coastal areas such as Sheringham, Cley, Blakeney, Wells-Next-The-Sea and Holkham. The National Trust properties of Blickiing Hall and Felbrigg Hall, and the Queen's residence of Sandringham are close to hand.

Four miles from the cottage is Walsingham which is an important centre of religious pilgrimage.

For steam enthusiasts, the Thursford museum is just two miles away, and for those who enjoy a nostalgic steam train ride there is the Poppy Line from Holt to Sheringham. Holt is a lovely Georgian town, and Sheringham is a charming traditional seaside town.

Pensthorpe is a magnificent nature reserve, which is wonderful to walk around, spotting many different species of birds and other wild animals.

Fakenham, the nearest town to Little Snoring, is a market town which still holds a market every Thursday, and is only three miles away.
